On my way to the BizSpark sessions at Cardinal Place - anyone else going? #BizSparkUK
At #BizSpark - packed out, but not many of the usual crowd here.
What a beautiful day in Edinburgh, and what an interesting time for Orange to tell me I had a missed call yesterday!
About to go to the train station, off to Edinburgh Uni open day with Stephen.
In a mobile ‘webinar’ at the moment, now running in the background just in case they say something interesting :-(
.@Pedro1892 no I’m not in the BCS, thought about it a few years ago but didn’t see the benefit.
Have used Tweetdeck’s filters to remove all tweets that mention twibbons, getting much too annoying.
Decided to unfollow people who re-tweet without specifying the source…
Oooh, fancy new portal for #Azure, wonder if it will be faster?
#Azure portal - watching paint dry is more preferable (and quicker) :-(
Nightmare journey back from AltNet last night - Virgin staff problems, diesels pulling electric trains , bus from Rugby to BHX, home at 2 AM
.@iaincollins Hmm, REST is an architecture not an interface, don’t think I like the idea of RPC SOAP stuff mapping directly to an HTTP API
.@grunt121 Absolutely Yes to dev camp in Brum. Bit busy at the moment, but let me know what you want and I’ll help get it rolling
Just read Roy Fielding’s response to REST-* on the [rest-discuss] group. Wonderful! http://bit.ly/Z6MNL
But worth it :-) Pre EdgeUG with @westleyl @irtimaled & @AndrewRimmer then CQS at AltNet (@udidahan ) lots to think about.
.@iaincollins it uses a GET to log an exception i.e. call a method?
.@BestBuyRemix #Azure = concept and vision excellent & game changing, implementation still at CTP level, APIs annoying.
.@iaincollins doesn’t doc/lit still mean that you are passing the method in the body of an HTTP POST?
.@richard_baker Thanks for responding! But I’m looking for alternatives, many passengers on last night’s debacle said it wasn’t unusual…
Another good day, much progress made, but still haven’t decided AltNet /EdgeUG for brain workout tonight. Will meet up in Victoria first :-)
RT @ianodonnell: Anyone know of a good simple hand held mobile bar code scanner system for tickest at outdoor events? Please RT
Getting very fed up with the #Azure portal, guess I’ll have to wait for the US to wake up :-(
The Azure portal is like swimming through treacle today, using it from my dev machine, so see all the error messages :-(
.@ericnel That’s currently my exact experience with uploading to #Azure :-(
Decisions - Edge UG or AltNet on Wednesday night?
Sitting in Ponty park - it has been a long time…
Finally got my SQL Azure invite :-)
RT @timheuer: i’m curious…do you still have a need for flash to silverlight conversion? http://twtpoll.com/knuzik please RT
2 new tyres and 1 locking wheel nut sheared in the process = lots of expense and very little work done today. Arggh.
Off to the Kearney baptism in deepest Essex.
Lancaster fly-past :-)
Time to take Sarah back to university.
The punishment for the guys who designed the software for the HTC TDiamond2 should be to have to use it as their only device for a month.
.@peteri problems with HTD TD2: Basically doesn’t work: When in standby, no alarms, no SMS alerts, no reminders, no email collection…
.@peteri Hardware is fantastic, streams 800 x 480 video beautifully, no stuttering. But takes 25 seconds to launch IE (or most apps)…
.@peteri there was a hot fix to get SMS alerts back, but didn’t solve any other problems, the ROM reflash did nothing. Waiting for 6.5…
Time to head out for badminton - some much needed exercise…
I do like using low-tech solutions to deal with problems or work flow. Today I will be mostly using Visual Studio :-)
.@peteri It is WM6.1 (i.e. CE5) with an HTC shell that is breathtaking in its incompetence. Sorry could go on forever with this rant :-)

Volume of work means that I am unable to attend tonight’s entrepreneurs meetup at the Old Joint Stock, sorry people, see you next time.
Now that’s what I call rain… It is monsoon time again.
OK it is hailing now. Just what is up with this weather?
Attempting to get out for a family lunch today, last chance before Sarah disappears again.
After one false start, ended up at Rose & Crown in Warwick, pretty good, family now giving me grief about asking for desert menu :-)
Damn, I’m good :-)
Heh, refactoring the code that drives Azure table storage is challenging.
.@grunt121 #openspacecode I’m helping to organise an Azure event at Aston Science park in September - be great to talk about others :-)
